NYC Stories: A Reunion of Artistic Souls in New York City

From August 1 to August 3, 2025, I had the joy of presenting my latest watercolor works at the exhibition NYC Stories in the heart of Tribeca, New York City, at OneArtSpace Gallery. This show was not only a showcase of art — it was a reunion of creative souls.

My collection for this exhibition centered around two complementary color palettes: rich purples and warm ochers. Each painting was a quiet conversation with nature, translated into delicate washes and layers of watercolor. I wanted these works to radiate joy, peace, and a sense of connection — something we all need in today’s fast-moving world.

This show was deeply special for another reason — it was my very first exhibition in New York City back in 2021 that also took place at OneArtSpace. Coming back here felt like returning home. Many of the same artists from that first show were part of this one, and over the years, we’ve built a strong network of friendship, collaboration, and mutual support.

It wasn’t just about displaying art — it was about celebrating growth, resilience, and togetherness. We’ve referred each other for opportunities, attended each other’s openings, and shared our challenges and successes openly.

Adding to the magic, I had just returned from a month-long trip to India with my family. I landed in New York, and within hours, I was stepping into the gallery. Those three days were an unforgettable blur of conversations, laughter, inspiration, and genuine connection.

NYC Stories reminded me why I create art — to connect with people, evoke emotions, and build a community that uplifts each other.
