Where Light Lingers

In Where Light Lingers, New Jersey artist Aprajita Lal presents a collection of paintings drawn from close observation of the natural world. The works gathered here share a preoccupation with transience — the particular quality of light at the edge of a season, the moment before a landscape shifts into something else. Where Light Lingers is on view at the Summit Free Public Library from September 1 through October 31, 2026, presented in partnership with the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey.
