When speed feels like a place you can step into... what stays with you — the color, the light, or the pulse of motion? I painted Velocity Unleashed after a memory of a late drive where headlights and sunset stretched into long bands of color. I poured hours into building that feeling: layered acrylic glazes and brisk directional brushwork to turn light into wind and pavement into bands of color. The Porsche silhouette becomes a moving landmark against a streaked atmosphere — yellow warmth contrasted with cool, horizontal bands that suggest evening air in motion. This piece is both technical play and quiet meditation. I explored layering and glazing to control luminosity, and used dry texture to imply tire and track without literal detail. Creating this was a reminder of why I left corporate life — for the small compulsions to translate a fleeting moment into color and rhythm.
